At the end of 2002, industry sources estimated that approximately 13,500 CTP units were installed worldwide–over 40 times more than in 1995. Of these, about 36 percent are Creo systems–more than twice the estimated market share of any other vendor.
Last year – Creo Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO; TSX: CRE) celebrated the installation of the 5000th computer-to-plate (CTP) system. Celebrations were held at printing companies worldwide to toast the milestone in computer to plate technology. Celebrations were held at Creo offices and demonstration and training centres in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland also.
This 5000th computer to plate (CTP) installation was a very important milestone highlighting the printing industry’s rapid revolution to digital plate processes.
