Some printers don't even appear in the Chooser anymore because of no AppleTalk support and you can't configure them using the old method. Many printers with AppleTalk support will have it turned off. The only printers that just "SHOW UP" in the chooser as ready are AppleTalk printers, most decent printers DO have AppleTalk support, Thank God. To connect to a printer over TCP/IP and create a desktop printer you need the Desktop Printer Utility.
