This is a loaded question - if you have up to date technology, even a few years old, an 11x17 could only take minutes, much less sometimes seconds to RIP a file. This depends on the complexity of the file though too. If this is taking 30 to 45 minutes per page at 11x17, then I would look to upgrade sooner than later. Its not like I have the world's greatest anything, but I would have to go back to the days of Trapwise/Linotype 330 in the early 90s to remember the last time a page took more than a few minutes to do. - Read More at This Link..
