Kodak Sword II Xcel Plates & Scitex Lotem 800
We are using a Scitex Lotem 800 and Kodak Sword II Xcel Plates. Everything was working fine until 2 weeks ago. We started to have to clean the lens several times a day as opposed to several times a week. We seem to be having an issue with increased debris that makes the lens as well as light detector dirty. We had both a Creo tech and Kodak sales tech in here one whole day to try to figure out the problem. The Lotem seems to be squeaky clean. It has been taken apart, put back together and tested several times, the light detector was replaced, the vacuum pump verified and filters replaced. We still can not seem to run these Kodak Sword II Plate to Kodak specs. I am new to this machine and plates, but my staff is very well experienced with all of the nuances. I was wondering if anyone else notices any differences with these new plates. It seems that for some reason, we now have to make adjustments to get this Kodak product to work on our machine where we didn't have to before.
