Computer To Plate :: What are your RIPing times?
I recently acquired a Pressmate FS filmsetter with RIP and knowing it was older technology I am still suprised at how long the RIP times are (some 11x17 cmyk files take 30-45 mins to rip). ColorSpan told me I can buy the Legacy Rip which I can install on any new computer I choose so I was thinking about putting it on a Duo Core machine with XP Pro. The price tag is pretty heavy for just the RIP software so I would like to know what machines you are using and your average RIP times. - Read More at This Link..
